In order to facilitate statistics, the state has specially formulated relevant regulations on iron and steel material consumption statistics.

2. National statistical standards:

Steel material consumption of converter (kg / T steel) = [pig iron + scrap iron (kg)] / qualified output of converter (electric furnace) (T)

Among them: pig iron includes cold pig iron, blast furnace molten iron and reduced iron; Scrap steel includes all kinds of scrap steel, scrap iron, etc. Where the following waste iron and steel are managed and allocated according to categories, the consumption index of waste iron and steel can be calculated according to the following unified conversion standards:

a. Light and thin scrap steel, including rusted steel sheet and other light and thin scrap steel equivalent to rusted sheet, shall be measured according to the physical quantity × 60% calculation, the processing pressure block is calculated according to the physical quantity × 60% calculation; The national standard GB / t4223-1996 has clear provisions on light and thin scrap steel;

b. Slag steel refers to the steel with slag recovered from the slag, which is classified as the material object × 70% calculation; The slag steel processed by smashing (basically removing impurities) shall be measured according to the physical quantity × 90% calculation;

c. High quality steel wire (formerly referred to as "steel wire"), steel wire rope, ordinary steel wire (formerly referred to as "iron wire"), iron filings, steel ingot peeling car filings and mechanical processing Scrap (including processing briquettes), according to the actual quantity × 60% calculation;

d. Billet head and tail cutting, soup channel, intermediate injection pipe steel, barrel bottom steel, frozen steel, heavy scrap, etc. are calculated according to the actual object.

Considering the difference between theoretical and actual iron input, the actual amount of pig iron and scrap iron, but the iron containing substances added in the smelting process, such as sinter, pig iron, alloy and other iron containing substances, contribute to the reduction of iron and steel material consumption, and the contribution can be calculated; Therefore, if conditions permit, more iron containing substances such as sinter and raw ore can be digested. According to the data, the raw ore digested by relevant manufacturers per ton of steel can reach 60kg, which makes a great contribution to the material consumption of steel.
